ZETA Superhell Hoppy Lager

ZETA Superhell Hoppy Lager

Inhoud: 33 cl
Alcohol: 5,5%

Zeta Superhell is the ultimate evolution of the classic Munich Helles. Where a traditional Helles stops, Superhell goes one step further by adding a generous dose of aromatic hops.

The result is a Hoppy Lager that offers the best of both worlds: the clean, refreshing structure of a bottom-fermented beer and the enticing fruity aromas of modern hop varieties. At 5.5% ABV, this is a characterful beer that drinks dangerously easily.

Zeta Superhell: Tradition with a Turbo Boost

Zeta Beer from Valencia has a strong reputation for technical perfection in lagers. With Zeta Superhell, they take the beloved Helles style, known for its malty softness and clarity, and give it a contemporary twist. By using techniques from the craft beer world, such as dry-hopping, this beer gains an aromatic profile you would normally expect from a Pale Ale, but without the heavy bitterness.

At Brouwhoeve, we are fans of Superhell for its balance and crisp character. The beer undergoes a long, cold lagering period, creating a remarkably clean flavor in which the quality of the malt and hops can fully shine. It is unfiltered and unpasteurized, keeping the flavors lively and fresh. This is not a standard pilsner; this is a lager with a superpower.

Buying Zeta Superhell means choosing the perfect balance between drinkability and aroma. A modern lager that proves 'clear and crisp' can also be exciting and hoppy.

Smaak & karakter

Appearance | Crystal clear to lightly veiled golden yellow, with a fine white head that forms a modest layer on the beer.

Aroma | The nose is immediately lifted by pleasant hoppiness. You will notice fresh notes of citrus fruit, grapefruit and a subtle floral nuance. In the background, the beer’s foundation remains recognizable with aromas of fresh grain and lightly toasted malt.

Flavor | The first sip is immediately refreshing and crisp. The malt brings a soft, biscuit-like sweetness that is quickly joined by fruity hop flavors. The bitterness is present but highly refined, adding to the beer’s outstanding drinkability.

Finish | A short, dry and very clean finish. The hoppy aromas linger briefly, then make way for a refreshing aftertaste that invites another sip.

Serveertips & combinaties

  • Glassware: Serve in a narrow, tapered pilsner glass or a classic 'Willibecher' glass to guide the aromas toward the nose.

  • Temperature: Drink this beer cold, preferably between 4°C and 6°C, to experience its freshness at its best.

  • Food pairing: An excellent companion for spicy dishes when you want a refreshing counterbalance. Think Asian dishes, tacos, grilled chicken, or a burger with a mildly spicy sauce.

  • Moment: The beer for a sunny afternoon on the terrace or the perfect reward pint after a long day.
